Clash of the Titans

So, Saturday I saw a movie with my friends. Truly weird experience. Um, favorite characters: Megatron and Bubos. Megatron is the weird wood guy, who looks like the Decepticon equivalent of Tim the Enchanter. Bubos is the Owl from the original Clash of the Titans who made a short cameo. And real fast, can anybody explain wtf happened to Megatron? Medusa stared at him, he laughed, he blew up. Wha....?
What did I think of the movie as a movie itself? It was pretty good, good visual effects, good enough acting, overall not a bad movie. What did I think compared to the original? It barely follows the original at all. I really don't like that. I liked the original (and Bubos). And watching, I could not help pointing out every difference, which hindered my enjoyment a bit...
    Um.. Final Score: 4/5

Delicious-ness, ness

Ok, so I have been going to this restaurant for a long time, and unfortunately I have been going less often. In Marina, there is a little restaurant called Francisco's. I really hope I am spelling that correctly, and I am. This place is truly one of my favorites, of course, many fall under that category. As you walk through the door, you are always greeted by a smile. After being seated, you get chips/dip and place your order. Not long you get your food. Seriously, not long. The wait time's are much shorter than many other places I have eaten. Which makes little sense, considering the size of the portions. I always order a cheese burger, and I am always stuffed by the end. Had to split it into two meals yesterday. Anyway, though the food isn't always perfect, maybe a little under done (I like it well done, not medium, not rare) I have never left there unsatisfied. 4 1/2 stars out of 5

Elimi-fail

I recently updated my iPod software, and decided I would try out this game my friend was annoying me about that required at least 3.0. The game was Eliminate, or something like that. I don't remember, and I honestly don't want to. It, was, garbage. Now, this is a little biased, because I against first person shooters for the iPod, and I do have a good reason. They are garbage. Character movement was extremely slow, the aiming is bad, and the firing never made sense. I tried playing it for more than 10 minutes, but I feared it toxic. I would honestly not recommend this game to anybody, but I don't know. Maybe you have better luck. At least, its free. Which a little over-priced, I know, but its better than $0.01.

Johnathan Coulton

I decided to review something non-game related. I just happen to be listening to a dork's best friend when it comes to music. I do happen to be a dork. But in all seriousness, Johnathan Coulton is really good at what he does. Great lyrics, great chords, sounds great, all dorky. Now, what could I possibly mean by dorky? Well, my favorite works of his are "Skullcrusher Mountain," a love song sung from the perspective of an evil genius, "Code Monkey," a song about a nerd that writes codes for a company, and is in love with the girl at the front desk, and "Re: Your Brains," which is a song about a zombie talking to his human friend, trying to convince his friend to let him eat his brain. He also did the credit song for the Valve game Portal, "Still Alive," and has done a cover of Baby got Back. So go check him out, you don't like him, so what, stone me. With your internet stones. :P

Warning- Highly addictive iPhone app

Now then, if you own an iPhone or iPod Touch, I personally own an iPod Touch, you have probably heard of or seen the game "Doodle Jump" Best iPod app I have ever played. I am playing it between sentences whilst posting this, its is highly addictive. I'm not even that good. my high score is only like 51,000 or so. My friend's is like 125,000. But seriously, highly addictive. Its not very fun for the first 20,000 points, but after that, man does it get fun. The panels start getting more and more populated with the blue and white tiles, and certain sequences start recurring. These include the following: "God-Bird," where you jump on a few panels (usually white or orange/red) and fight a boss that follows you up, I usually just jump on him; "Two-Panel Monster," a long monster hopping on two touching panels, usually needs to be killed fast; "Jump on monsters!" where the only way to progress is to, well, "jump on monsters!" There are many other sequences, but I think you get the picture. I would highly recommend this app, it only costs a dollar.

First review of the New Year

Ok, now then, first review of the New Year. I'm going to go with a game. And what better than Modern Warfare 2? When I first heard all the reviews and hype about this game, I felt it was overrated. The game just didn't seem to appeal to me. I was dead wrong. This is an amazing game. Was the best game of 2009? In my opinion, no. I feel that honor goes to Assassin's Creed II, personally. But that does not mean this is not a kick ass game. Graphics are good, guns are great, storyline is good. Multi-player is beast. Had I not fallen in love with Assassin's Creed, this would be the best game evar. But no. I give it a 10/10

An Idea

Hey! I remembered to post today. Hurray for me. But enough of that... Anyway, I have made a decision to separate this into two blogs. One, will be Can thou say "boredom?" and will just about my life and such. The other will be Commentary from the bushes, which will be reviews and such of random things. So tonight, I am devoting my time to that, so i don't know if i will be able to do so. But I will have many posts for tomorrow, so come again folks.

Its good to be back

Whew. That was a loooooong break there. Well, not so much a break as procrastination or something similar. Anyway, I'M BACK. Stupid caps lock. Any, not only am I back to blogging, but back to school. So I find it fitting to detail my break to you. First, lets go over my grades, because that was one of the first things that happened. I had relatively good grades, and they are as follows:
English III: A-
World History II: B+
Chinese III Honors: A-
Latin II: A
AP Calculus AB: A-
Chemistry: A
Physics: A
Acceptable grades yes. Would I like them a bit higher, sure, but they are good where they are. Anyway, Onto the break. I had two weeks off, the first being the week of Christmas. But before that, I went up to Oregon. Visited my Grandma, which was fun. Came home Christmas eve, and then, Christmas!!! duh.
Now, the obvious. What did Ody get for Christmas. Well, here's the list: Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2, and Fallout 3: Game of the Year edition, a Halo Encyclopedia, and a mountain of clothing. But it was good clothing. Def Leppard and Guns 'n' Roses t-shirts. A new jacket, a new button up shirt, a GIR sweatshirt. That is awesome. Oh, and a $50 iTunes gift card. That puppy is gone. Anyway after Christmas, nothing happened. Literally, like nothing happened. Except, I went to a museum, and that was fun. Anyway, i need to get back to homework. Hopefully, i will post again tomorrow.

Game of the Week

Assassin's Creed II

Yes, many a good game have come out recently, but Assassin's Creed II appealed to me most. This is how a sequel truly should be. Its almost a completely different game from the original; its weapon system is more intricate, the movements are more fluid, the conspiracy part is much larger. This is a beautiful game, and its graphics, amazing. The ending is a real mind freak when you get to it. Overall I could recommend this to just about anybody. 10/10

-I seriously hope this game gets game of the year.

I can has readers?

Hey there nobody, sorry its been awhile, kinda. I'm a little busy now, with finals, and Christmas, and the history assignment for hell, and all. But I'm back. I figured out that weird sin problem too, but that would only confuse you. So, um.. should I say anything, or move right onto the Favorites? Wait, that's right. How was all y'alls weekends? Lol, mine was good. Saturday, volunteer work for Salvation Army. I was ringing a bell for about an hour in the freezing weather of gorgeous California. Not. Its nice here. Unfortunately, no snow. Anyway, after that, I went to my friend's house and spent the night. This is the same friend who this blog is named for. Anyway, played Assassin's Creed II, Left 4 Dead 2, and Borderlands a bit. We also played some mind games and had some riddles; very entertaining. These are the kind that are extremely fun to annoy the hell out of your friends. If you care to learn them, email me. Haha, as if you care. Anyway, so the rest of the weekend was pretty much stress out over finals. Now then, on to the Favorites!
